It wasn't that long ago that the sound of
heavy equipment could be heard in our community paving new roads
and moving earth for new home villages. The rapid clicking of
hammers and the low buzzing of saws was heard as a daily reminder
for everyone at the pro shop, that soon the new LPGA International
Country Club would be completed and their role as LPGA ambassadors
was about to take on new importance.
Today I am happy to say that the critical phase of developing
the infrastructure of the new LPGA International is nearing an
end and the next stage, that of building homes and greeting new
residents, is well underway. These past eight months have been
times of great progress at LPGA International. Hopefully these
sounds were considered as music to the ears of our residents who
have long been anxious for these grand steps to occur.
I wish to publicly thank Indigo Development, Inc., for carrying
through their vision of building a country club that would do
justice for the LPGA organization it is so named for. Daytona
Beach certainly has a new landmark that will also become internationally
known.
It is most impressive to drive around the LPGA International Champions
course on these new roads and witness for the first time the very
scenic and tranquil lifestyle that our new friends and neighbors
will be able to enjoy. Just as impressive to note is the new commercialization
that is beginning to surround LPGA International meaning that
new jobs, new shopping and more progress is on the horizon. Inquiries
from major companies and retail organizations are coming in almost
daily. Some will certainly make their decision based on the beautiful
community that we have here. LPGA International is truly an integral
part of the Daytona Beach path of progress for the decade of 2000.
Recently I sat on the balcony of our new clubhouse admiring the
stars, contemplating where this new found progress may lead and
why now is the time it was meant to occur. My supposition is simply
this, things happen when they are supposed to and the grander
picture we are a part of, always chooses its own course. Renar
Homes is very proud to be a part of LPGA International in these
times.
